Fire at Centerm extinguished

Today a container burst into flames at Centerm, a busy container terminal located in Port Metro Vancouver’s Inner Harbour,  The four alarm blaze caused an evacuation of the terminal and surrounding neighbourhood.  A Hazmat team was called in as well as the fire was attributed to an explosion triggered by Trichloroiscyanauric acid, a commonly used industrial disinfectant.   We’re pleased to hear that there were no fatalities resulting from the fire.
